At the end of the Constitutional Convention, the founding fathers had completed a major task. In reference to the chair belonging to George Washington, while waiting to sign the Constitution Benjamin Franklin stated, "I have often looked at that picture behind the president without being able to tell whether it was a rising or setting sun.
